Wings planning for no Bertuzzi

The Red Wings are preparing for not having Todd Bertuzzi for Thursday's playoff opener. Bertuzzi is out with a concussion and has not been on the ice since last Thursday. "In my mind, he's not available at this point," said coach Mike Babcock. Mikael Samuelsson has been practicing in Bertuzzi's spot on Robert Lang's line.

"Although he didn't practice Monday, Todd Bertuzzi (concussion) will play in Game 1 of the opening round against Calgary, Thursday, according to Detroit coach Mike Babcock."

""In my mind, he's not available at this point," said coach Mike Babcock."

What a difference a day makes! I find it hard to believe any of his quotes lately.

Awesome blog Bruce, keep up the good work.

I have a feeling he really doesn't have a concussion... I couldn't see out of that collision with Osgood how he could have gotten a concussion from it.

I think his back or neck are what's hurting, and the Wings are just trying to mislead the Flames...

GO WINGS!!
