Enjoy your blog lots!

But I'm wondering where the penalty minute stats come from. ESPN and Detroit News both credit Datsyuk with 4 penalty minutes, and that jives with my real-life memory much more closely than 10 Datsyuk penalties.

I was just wondering what your source is for this stat?

I'm glad the NHL is finally keeping track of this.

Thanks a lot!

In previous year, I've gotten this stat from my own game notes. This is the first season that the NHL keeps penalties drawn in its play-by-play for each game. So now I can toss in league-wide stats as well as Red WIngs.
