Franzenstein's record

Johan Franzen's nine goals in this series sets an NHL record for goals in a four-game series. This was just the ninth time in league history that a player has scored at least nine goals in a series ... the other eight were all in series that went five games or longer.
Wayne Gretzky never scored nine goals in a playoff series. Neither did Rocket Richard or Gordie Howe.

A great feat by someone who deserves it! I know NHLers rarely keep track of stats, but this is something Franzen should be really proud of. The feat goes to show that hockey sense (aka knowing where to be) and hard work outweighs everything else in the game. Franzen has a great set of hands (for a big guy he has solid finesse, not to mention incredible hand-eye coordination). Hopefully this can continue in the immediate and distant future!
