Bruce, do you have any feel for how Pav and Lidstrom are doing?

It seems like Pav is going good if he's skated three times in the last two days.

But they are guarding (rightfully so) what's going on with Lidstrom. A report I just read on ESPN said Lidstrom was walking around just fine, no limp or anything, last night after the game.

Do you think they were looking forward a bit, resting those guys, knowing either the SCF or games six and seven were coming up? Or are there still some serious concerns?

2 days off between games 5 and 6 and 6 and 7? It makes no sense to my why they go and do that and make games 1&2 back-to-back.

Terrible scheduling by the NHL.

The NHL wants the Pens to have an advantage. Bettman wants his darling Sid the Kid to take the cup. The Wings are a bit banged up and having them play back to back just puts more strain on them. It is dubious scheduling on the NHL's part. The series wasn't suppose to begin until the 5th of June. It's a little silly but the Champs will step up.
