As I wrote it on my Twitter - "Hudler vs Russia 3-2". He scored 2 goals and 2 shootouts! All he need to be a real star-level player is more ice time. I think his travel to Moscow for 2 years will help him to become a better player. I hope, he'll be a good addition to DRW roster after 2 years in Dynamo.
BTW, Bruce, are you going to go to Stockholm for NHL Premiere?
Bruce!! Cheli considering AHL?? I know this is off the Hudler topic... but is there any way you could get word to Cheli to at least talk to the Hershey Bears and see if that would be interesting to him??? It would put him 15 minutes from an Airport in a good, small, hockey town with good fan base that would keep him busy until he moves back up and it would keep him within a half-days travel of any team in the Eastern Conference. Hershey plays 50% of their games within 4 hours of home (Binghampton, Philly, Wilkes-Barre and Norfolk account for 36 games).
I promise if he comes here, i'll let him shoot on me in a hextall jersey for old times sake.
Hey Alex. I'm not going to Stockholm. Really wish I was.
Love the Hextall jersey offer. Too funny.
I actually told the Hershey/Binghampton official photographer about it and he said he would drive down for practice if he knew Cheli would shoot on me in a Hextall jersey, and I already found one I can wear (my amateur team's goalie has it), plus i just bought black and orange blocker/catcher/legs... maybe it will help that Al MacCormack (skating instructor to many NHL'ers and NCAA Div III coach of many years) call's me Cheli because of all my red wings gear?
