Red Wings' exhibition game today online

You can watch the Red Wings' final exhibition game at 1 p.m. today against Färjestad BK in Karlstad, Sweden, on nhl.com. The league web site will run a live stream of the game.

Detroit prospect Dick Axelsson (Detroit’s 2nd round pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft) plays for Färjestad BK. Hat Trick Dick. Great nickname.

I can't seem to find it. I have tried everything short of paying $160 for their gamecenter live crap. Why would I do that when i can get NHL Center Ice for $150 and watch it on tv instead.

nevermind, they updated the website at 1:10pm to show the link. geeze.

can't load it because it takes you to a separate video console which is blocked here. Which is too bad, I can watch NHL.com videos.

Trying my iphone to see if i can pick it up, otherwise, i guess i'll be waiting until 8pm.

For those of you equally desperate for red wings vs. Superliga champs farjestad scores, i am blogging the scores on espn.com under the nhl scoreboard on the "conversation".

What a good game. That was so fun to watch. The NHL should have more games like this with teams playing non-NHL elite teams. Just curious, but any idea why the swedes goalie had a patch covering his name on his jersey?

Because it wasn't his jersey. I noticed an article from www.redwingscentral.com's media watch that mentioned a confusion on who actually played goalie.

I'd have to search the archives from the day of or after to get the right answer again. Or try finding a box score.

The goalie who is normally number one, was hurt and not dressed, but they don't have the quick resources to get a name patch made like NHL teams.
