Not a great TV package

Funny note on both Jonathan Ericsson's team loyalty and the NHL's crappy TV package. Ericsson went into surgery (appendicitis) Wednesday before WCF Game 5 asking if he's be awake by game time. He was awake by 5:30 p.m., but DMC's TVs didn't get the game. So instead of an overnight at the hospital, Ericsson checked out, had his girlfriend drive him to JLA and watched the Wings eliminate Chicago from the rink. His girlfriend drove him home after that.

Maybe the Hockeytown cable company should start carrying Versus, you know that network that has exclusive national coverage of NHL games. This isn't new. The partnership is now in it's fourth year and scheduled for two more. I'd think all cable companies in Hockeytown, USA aka Motown aka Detroit, would have it by now.

The NHL has done a pathetic job getting hockey as a whole on to TV in the vast majority of the states.
Then they want to sell a high priced cable center ice package that blacks out and cuts off games. For those of us in non traditional hockey markets in the south of the US, we fight regional blackouts with cable companies every season.
Bett-head should get off his butt and find a cable deal to carry the entire league and be done with it.
