Light week for posts
As has been for the four seasons that I've been on the Red Wings beat, I'm not traveling to the West Coast during the regular season. Just to give you a heads-up that I won't be doing the usual lineup and breaking news posts. But I will try to keep the blog breathing with odds and ends and the occasional musing.

Blah, blah, blah, you'll just have to watch the games on ceter ice/fox/versus/nhlnetwork/nhl.com/rogers/tsn/windsor9/whateverotherrandomchannel like the rest of us and then make up something really officious during post game.

Not sure if you addressed this anywhere yet, but what is going on with Budd Lynch? It seems as though they use a recording of his voice for the standard announcements and "1 minute in the period" statement, but the new guy seems to do anything that is "live". Is he still around? I hope the DRW organization does something nice for him ASAP if he is indeed retired. To just not hear anything is pretty disappointing.
So what's the deal with Leino? Has he been called up or not? Is he playing tonight vs. Vancouver?
